obama heading to las vegas tomorrow for a campaign rally. the president then expected to hunker down in henderson, nevada, to prepare for that first presidential debate. nbc news white house correspondent, mike viqueira, joining me live. now, mike, the president again, no public appearances today. earlier this week, he was at the united nations. he's been hitting the campaign trail hard. he's been dealing with the fallout from the libya attacks. is he finding enough time to even practice for the debates? >> well, you know, craig, to the extent that the command of the issues will make a difference in these debates, you can say he's getting a lot of on the job training, certainly. but to argue your premise a little bit, the president, as far as we know, is, in fact, practicing for those debates. just yesterday, he spent two hours south of the capital, about a mile from here, the democratic national committee headquarters, where we are told, on deep background, that he was, in fact, practicing on those debates. of course, the person who is the mock mitt romney, if you will, john kerry,
